Our corporate ‘team building’ cooking classes are interactive and fun and will produce measurable results immediately.

We strive to make your event fun, memorable and – most importantly – results oriented.

Corporate cooking classes are available Monday to Saturday (excluding statutory holidays) in the morning, afternoon or evening and we are able to accommodate up to 90 participants. We typically book one month in advance, however you are more than welcome to enquire about earlier dates still available.

Cooking Class options are as follows:

2-Hour Cooking Class

A typical cooking class consists of hands-on participation by you and your guests in the preparation of a 3 or 4-course menu under the tutelage of one of our European-trained Chef Instructors. The cooking class is 2 hours in duration followed by lunch or dinner in the Institute's fine dining Restaurant where you and your guests will enjoy the 'fruits of your labour'. All menus are custom-designed based on your preferences, the season, dietary restrictions, allergies, etc.

Iron Chef Challenge

The Iron Chef challenge is a 'black box' 45 minute team competition whereby each team has15 minutes to discuss and decide on the menu item(s) they will create with the 'black box' ingredient(s). Sample 'black box' ingredients are: prawn, chicken, orange, lamb, beef, or mushrooms, etc. Teams then have 30 minutes to create the dish(es) after which they must present their dish(es) to a panel of judges who will determine 'who reigns supreme'.

After the challenge, the group will enjoy a gourmet 3-course gourmet meal in our fine dining restaurant, prepared by our advanced Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry Arts students.

Each competitor will receive a Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts apron which they get to take home after the event.

Apprentice-Theme Competition

'The Apprentice-theme' challenge is a team competition only. Your group would be divided into teams, choose a Project Manager and team name and assigned a task to complete in 1.5 hours with no assistance provided. At the end of the allotted time (1.5 hours), the teams would be judged by our very own 'TRUMP' who will determine who would be hired.

After the competition the group will enjoy a 3-course gourmet meal in our fine dining restaurant, prepared by our advanced Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry Arts students.

Each competitor will receive a Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts apron which they get to take home after the event.

Chef's Table

Imagine being invited to sit at the chef's personal table in one of BC's top culinary schools, as well as meet the up-and-coming chefs of tomorrow.
